On Thursday the 6th November 2014 during the Press Conference which lasted up to the 9th November 2014- the Bishop of Tarbes and Lourdes, revealed the outline of the "Project of the Grotto, the heart of Lourdes".

The project is to be phased throughout the winters of 2015 and 2016.

The Bishop of Tarbes and Lourdes Mgr Nicolas Brouvet states that "Our Mission is to ensure that all those who come to Our Sanctuary are touched, before the Grotto, by the unconditional love of Jesus. Our preaching, our projects, our initiatives, and our work who should lead to that".
