Lourdes is in Southern France. It is a small town near the hills of the Pyrenees, south-west of Toulouse. Lourdes attracts millions of pilgrims every year. Lourdes itself has many shops which are souvenir shops. People may think they look tacky but after they seem to be full of character. Lourdes is a Catholic Shrine in the South of France to which thousands of people go on Pilgrimage. Many people who have bathed in the waters of the Grotto have been healed. Some of these healings have been declared to be miracles by the Roman Catholic Church.
